Dancing

With ceremony, dinner, and cocktails over, all that was left was to party.

The Golden Hour

At a moment when the lighting was too perfect, Elizabeth and Jerram were whisked away to take a few final pictures.

The First Dance

Some people put a lot of thought and work into the first dance. They go to dance lessons and carefully choreograph every move to the music. Jerram and Elizabeth only knew one thing: that they wanted their first dance to be to Depeche Mode’s “Somebody.”

We may not be able to dance, but that's not going to stop us from trying or enjoying ourselves.

Probably the best shot of the back of Elizabeth's dress so I'll take this moment to point out that this was altered by Elizabeth. She didn't like the way the dress came "off the rack." So she cut up the back and brought the straps together with buttons.

Guests look on as Elizabeth and Jerram dance. It's rather surprising that they did not have more perplexed expressions while the lyrics to "Somebody" play in the background.

More fashion commentary: For those wondering, yes all of that bun is Elizabeth's hair. There are more bobby pins in her hair at this moment than MacGyver could use in a lifetime.

I'm enjoying the fashion commentary. So let me also note that the bracelet Elizabeth is wearing was a present from Jerram's mother, Barbara.

Father-Daughter Dance

Glen takes the floor for the father-daughter dance, performed to a medley of “Over the Rainbow” and “It’s a Wonderful World.”

There's good (90%) odds that Glen is talking about how impressed he is with Jerram.

Anniversary Dance

Elizabeth and Jerram clear the floor. This dance is for the married couples. As the song progresses the DJ asks that only couples that have been together for at least one year, than two, than five, etc. continue to dance. This goes on until the last couple who have been married the longest are left.

Cake Cutting

The night is winding down, it is time to give everyone one last boost of sugar with the cake cutting.

This cake was so pretty, it was a shame to cut.

But Elizabeth and Jerram managed to cut the cake after all!

This was actually the product of quite a bit of practicing the linked arm wine gulp. There may be a formal term for this pose, but that is what we are calling it.
